The previous generation used an extruded aluminium profile - effective, but requiring cutting, finishing and anodizing as a labour-intensive two-part process with significant material wastage and a cap on daily production. The new generation solves all of that.

Pressure-Cast Aluminium Housing
The move to pressure casting is significant. Where the previous extrusion process produced a continuous profile that had to be cut and finished individually, the new tooling casts four housings simultaneously in a single die-cast cycle. This means thousands of units can be produced per day with a level of dimensional consistency that extrusion simply cannot match. Every housing is identical, same tolerances, same finish, same fit.
Automotive-Grade E-Coating
Once cast, each housing undergoes an electrodeposition coating process,the same technology used by major automotive manufacturers to protect vehicle bodies from corrosion. E-coating works by immersing the part in a paint bath and applying an electrical current, which drives the coating into every surface, corner and edge. The result is a uniform, hard, chemically bonded protective layer that is significantly more durable than the anodizing it replaces, particularly in the corrosive, ammonia-rich atmosphere found inside poultry and pig houses.
Full Composite Resin Encapsulation
The final step is complete encapsulation in an advanced composite resin. The resin seals the LED array and PC board into a single, solid, waterproof unit - with no gaps, no seams and no ingress points. The driver sits externally, keeping the light itself as simple, robust and serviceable as possible. The result is a light that can withstand high-pressure wash-down, prolonged chemical exposure and sustained immersion without any compromise to performance or longevity.
